Mythic Weapons
DOCUMENTATION & SETUP GUIDE — READ THIS FIRST
Before installing or configuring Mythic Weapons, open the Documentation tab above.
The documentation includes setup instructions, commands, permissions, loot profiles, Tebex/offline delivery usage, API information, custom weapon examples, and everything needed to safely create your own mythic weapons.
Important live server setup note: Most included example weapons use placeholder Skin IDs. Replace these with your own unique Skin IDs before enabling the default weapons on a live server.
Create Weapons Players Will Remember
Mythic Weapons adds a configurable custom weapon system to your Rust server, built around unique skinned weapons, reusable effects, and flexible loot placement.
Use the included mythic weapons as they are, edit them, disable them, or build entirely new combinations through the plugin’s data files.
Create weapons that can:
Fire rockets, grenades, Molotovs, satchels, cannonballs, supply signals, item projectiles, or unusual event-style payloads
Split projectiles into secondary explosions or chained effects
Call down strike patterns and explosive barrages
Apply damage bonuses, lifesteal, teleport effects, cooldowns, extra ammo costs, custom magazine sizes, or infinite durability
Consume themselves after use for special one-time rewards or utility items
A simple weapon can have one effect. A rare endgame weapon can combine several effects into something much more dangerous.
Ready-to-Use Mythic Weapons Included
The default setup includes a wide selection of example weapons, including:
A revolver that fires HV rockets
An assault rifle that launches rockets
A weapon that calls down a ring of rocket strikes
An MLRS-style sniper rifle
Cannonball launchers
Explosive shotguns and cluster weapons
A grenade launcher that fires unusual payloads
A single-use flaregun that calls in supply drops
A seeker-style launcher that splits into explosive payloads
A sniper rifle that teleports the shooter to the aimed location
Event-style weapons that fire chickens, animals, or other strange payloads
Keep the defaults, remove the more unusual weapons, or use them as examples for building your own themed collection.
Data-Driven Weapon Creation
Mythic Weapons is designed so new weapons can be created through data files instead of requiring plugin code changes.
Weapons reference effect IDs, and effects define what happens when that weapon is used. This allows the same effect to be reused across multiple weapons or combined into completely different designs.
The plugin separates its content into readable data files for:
Weapons
Simple effects
Chain effects
Container loot profiles
NPC loot profiles
Resource loot profiles
Collectible loot profiles
Growable loot profiles
Pending offline deliveries
This makes it easier to maintain your setup, expand your server content, and create new mythic weapon collections over time.
Supported Effect Types
Mythic Weapons currently supports effects including:
Damage multipliers
Projectile firing
Item projectile firing
Entity firing
Projectile detonation chains
Item and entity detonation chains
Strike and barrage-style projectile patterns
Teleport effects
Extra ammo costs
Weapon consumption on fire
Cooldowns
Magazine capacity changes
Infinite durability
Vampiric healing
Effects can be mixed together, allowing server owners to create anything from a simple upgraded rifle to a rare event weapon with chained payloads and special behavior.
Built-In Loot Distribution
Mythic weapons can be distributed through the plugin’s own loot profile system, admin commands, console commands, shops, kits, event rewards, Tebex-style delivery, or API calls.
Built-in loot profile support includes:
Containers
NPC corpses
Resource harvesting
Collectibles
Growables
Container loot profiles can trigger when containers are opened, destroyed, or both.
Resource loot profiles can trigger either while a player is harvesting or only when the resource is fully harvested.
Flexible delivery modes allow mythic weapons to be:
Added to a container
Given directly to the player
Dropped at the container
Dropped at the player
Handled through fallback delivery rules when an inventory or container is full
This makes Mythic Weapons suitable for rare loot progression, custom events, boss rewards, seasonal content, shops, VIP rewards, or high-value server progression systems.
Admin and Store Friendly
The plugin includes validation tools to help identify setup issues such as:
Missing effect IDs
Invalid item shortnames
Broken weapon definitions
Invalid loot profiles
Accidental overlapping ammo costs
Commands support:
Listing mythic weapons
Viewing weapon information
Giving a specific mythic weapon
Giving all mythic weapons
Validating the current setup
Reloading plugin data
Offline players can also receive queued mythic weapon deliveries when they next connect, making the plugin suitable for web stores, Tebex deliveries, event rewards, and administrative giveaways.
Important Skin ID Information
Most included mythic weapons use placeholder Skin IDs.
Before using the default weapon set on a live server, replace the placeholder Skin IDs with your own unique values.
The only included default weapons currently using real workshop Skin IDs are:
Seeker Cluster
Launcher Siege Engine Minigun
For all other custom weapons, assign a unique Skin ID of your choice.
Do not reuse the same combination of Base Item Shortname and Skin ID across multiple mythic weapons. For example, two different L96 mythic weapons should not both use the same base item shortname and the same Skin ID, as that combination is used to identify the weapon.
